The Monthly Cut // April
A quick, unfiltered list of my top picks from the month.
This month’s list came together pretty naturally. It’s just the things I kept reaching for without really thinking about it. Silver pens that I keep in every bag, a crisp white maxi dress that makes getting dressed feel very low effort, and the pajamas that have now made it into two Monthly Cuts.. which feels like enough said.
A few practical finds, a few things I didn’t expect to like as much as I do, but all of it has been getting really used lately.
Recently bought a pack of these silver pens to throw in my purse and makeup bag. The ball point on them is too good.
Editors Note: I take these with me everywhere I go. In my purse, work bag, car, and makeup bag. Anywhere they are easy to reach for.

Black Pajamas (Negative Adjacent)
I’ve talked about these pajamas numerous times. I wear an XS in the top and medium in the bottoms. They come in several colorways, too. Perfect to lounge in or bring on your next trip.
Editors Note: Honestly, these are SO GOOD. I have the other brand and these are 99% exact. I’ve washed and dried and they always hold up well.

An eyeliner that glides on smoothly, leaving a sharp, matte finish. I love that it’s long-wear, clean, and doesn’t smudge. Truly one of my favorites right now.
Editors Note: Wanted to add that this also sharpens well!
Ran across this pair of sneakers and I think they are so chic. I’ve styled mine with both a dress and denim. You can’t go wrong either way.
Editors Note: I got an 8.5 but I do feel like the run a little small/narrow.

One of my favorite mineral sunscreens! I was using the skinny confidential one (and still love it), but this one is a tad deeper in color, so I feel like it works better with my skin tone in the summer.
Editors Note: No notes other than this is what I’m wearing all summer.
I’ve been living in this dress and it hasn't disappointed me yet (I’m in a size 4 and it runs TTS). I’ve styled it up with heels and down with net flats and a sweater over my shoulders. Truly the most perfect cotton dress for summer.
Editors Note: I feel like I need another version of this because I’ve already worn it so much. It goes with everything.

These face pads (also known as a mini chemical peel) are spicy but really give you a good glow. I only use them every other day (basically not the same day as my retinol) and they make my skin feel amazing.
Editors Note: These tingle in the best way!
I bought this portable light after using Katey's, and it's great for travel if you want good lighting for your makeup or for photos. It’s dimmable, has different filters, and is under $20.
Editors Note: If you’re putting on your makeup in bad lighting, this will fix it.

The Most Flattering High-Waisted Bikini
I promise this is the MOST flattering bikini if you are someone who maybe doesn't love a low-rise bikini (I’ve tried several). I personally need a swimsuit top (size large, this brand runs so small) with good support and a bottom (in a medium) that covers my belly button, and this one is it. I got a medium and it is so flattering!
Editors Note: I can’t say enough good things about this top and bottoms.
This candle has been a favorite of mine, especially for warmer months. It's earthy, green, and peppery. It also has a hint of basil and honestly smells incredible. I always light it in our powder room, and people comment on it.
Editors Note: I have now purchased several others from this brand. They burn clean and look so pretty on your counter.
